Pushpa Kamal Dahal has denied allegations that he made any effort to influence the electoral outcome in Chitwan-3 in favor of his daughter, Renu Dahal. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday at the party’s central office in Parisdanda, Dahal dismissed claims that he was working to ensure her victory.
He said he had neither issued any public statement regarding the Chitwan-3 constituency nor initiated any effort for electoral coordination. “The claim that I am trying to secure Renu Dahal’s victory in Chitwan-3 is completely untrue,” Dahal said. “I have not issued any statement, nor have I made any effort for electoral alliance.”
However, he stated that Renu Dahal should be evaluated based on her nine years of work and dedication. He said voters should make their decision on the basis of her performance. “If her nine years of hard work are not fairly assessed, it would feel like an injustice to both her and me,” he said.
Dahal’s remarks were made amid speculation surrounding political developments in the Chitwan-3 constituency.
