Prime Minister Sushila Karki has convened a National Security Council meeting at Singha Durbar to discuss election preparations and security arrangements ahead of the upcoming vote.

Kathmandu — Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called a meeting of Nepal’s National Security Council to discuss election preparations and security arrangements ahead of the upcoming polls. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday at Singha Durbar, the administrative headquarters of the Government of Nepal.

The meeting has been convened to review the country’s election readiness and assess the overall security situation as voting approaches. Officials are expected to discuss possible security concerns and necessary precautionary measures to ensure that the election is conducted in a safe and orderly manner.

Nepal’s National Security Council is the government’s top body responsible for coordinating and formulating national security policy. The council is chaired by the Prime Minister and includes the Minister for Defence, Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Finance, the Chief Secretary, and the Chief of Army Staff as members.
