Two individuals were injured after a clash broke out between supporters of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the CPN-UML during door-to-door election campaigning in Baitadi district, police said.
The incident occurred in Lek Tole of Dilasaini Rural Municipality–7 while party members were conducting house-to-house outreach. According to police, the situation escalated during the campaign activity, resulting in a physical altercation.
Two CPN-UML Supporters Injured
Police identified the injured as Janak Dhami, a district member of the UML-affiliated Youth Association and resident of Dilasaini–7, and Madhav Dhami, who is also from the same locality. Both individuals are receiving treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital, authorities confirmed.
Police said an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the clash. Authorities have not released additional details.
