Ranbir Singh Chhetri, a candidate from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal in Kathmandu Constituency-9 for the House of Representatives election, has withdrawn his candidacy. Nepali Congress leader Kiran Giri confirmed that Chhetri stepped aside to support Nepali Congress candidate Nanu Bastola in the same constituency.
A total of 24 candidates, representing various political parties and independent contenders, are contesting the House of Representatives seat in Kathmandu-9. Election authorities have designated 34 polling stations and 90 polling centers in the constituency, where voters will cast their ballots.
