The Embassy of Nepal in Qatar has urged Nepali nationals residing in Qatar to strictly follow security advisories issued by the Qatari government amid rising tensions in West Asia.
In an official notice, the embassy advised all Nepali citizens to remain alert and comply with safety instructions released by Qatari authorities. It urged them to stay indoors where possible, avoid unnecessary movement, and maintain heightened caution.
The embassy also warned against believing or circulating unverified information, rumors, or video clips from unknown sources. Nepali nationals were advised to rely only on official announcements and emergency alert messages and to follow updates issued by the authorities.
According to the embassy, it remains in regular contact with members of the Nepali community through telephone and other communication channels. The mission stated that the safety of Nepali citizens remains its priority.
Approximately 360,000 Nepali workers are currently residing in Qatar. Regional tensions have escalated following joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran on Saturday, and Iran’s subsequent response, raising broader security concerns across West Asia.
