Nepali Congress Calls on Professionals and Civic Leaders to Join Party

The Nepali Congress has invited professionals and civic leaders from multiple sectors to formally join the party, emphasizing organizational strengthening, policy clarity and democratic accountability.

Kathmandu, Nepal — The Nepali Congress has urged individuals from various professional sectors to formally join the party, citing the need for broader participation amid Nepal’s changing political landscape.

In a statement issued Friday, party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise said the Congress is inviting people engaged in different professions and fields to become formally affiliated with the party in response to the evolving political context.

The party said that under the leadership of President Gagan Thapa, it is prioritizing organizational strengthening, policy clarity and the restoration of public trust.

Invitation to Multiple Sectors

The Nepali Congress called on individuals associated with medicine, education, law, industry, information technology, agriculture, labor and civil society to join the party. It encouraged those who believe in building an alternative political force and contributing to social transformation through political engagement to participate formally.

According to the statement, strengthening democracy and the nation requires new thinking, fresh energy and the involvement of experienced individuals.
