Mingma David Sherpa Climbs Everest With Parliament Logo
The Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker reached the summit carrying Nepal’s federal parliament logo under the slogan “From the House to the Peak”.
Rastriya Swatanra Party lawmaker Mingma David Sherpa has successfully climbed Mount Everest carrying the logo of Nepal’s Federal Parliament.
Sherpa reached the summit of the world’s highest peak at 5:40 am on Wednesday.
He completed the expedition under the slogan “From the House to the Peak”, symbolically linking Parliament with the top of Sagarmatha. The climb has drawn attention not only as a personal achievement but also as a representation of Nepal’s national identity on the world stage.
After returning to base camp, Sherpa shared the news through Facebook, saying he had completed the summit push on the ninth day of the expedition.
Mingma David Sherpa has long been active in mountaineering and Himalayan expeditions. This latest ascent added a political and symbolic dimension to his public image as a member of the House of Representatives.
He thanked Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal and everyone who supported the expedition. Sherpa said the climb was completed despite difficult weather conditions and the physical challenges of the mountain.
The news of the successful ascent quickly spread across social media, with many congratulating him for carrying Nepal’s parliamentary identity to the top of Mount Everest.
