Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang Resigns to Contest Parliamentary Election

Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Harka Sampang has stepped down from his post to participate in the upcoming House of Representatives election on February 21.

Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Harka Sampang has resigned from his position. He submitted his resignation letter to Deputy Mayor Aindra Bikram Begaha on Sunday. Sampang stepped down to participate in the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21. He is currently the chairperson of the Labour Culture Party.

Earlier, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah had also resigned from office in preparation for the parliamentary election.
