In the letter, Shah writes that he has attempted to work honestly and responsibly in the interest of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and its residents during his tenure. Deputy Mayor to Handle City Administration

Following the submission of the resignation, responsibility for the executive functions of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has shifted to Sunita Dangol, as per existing legal provisions. Municipal sources said that regular administrative work and public services will continue without interruption.
