Ishwar Pokhrel Intensifies Campaign in Kathmandu-5 Ahead of Falgun 21 Election

Kathmandu — Ishwar Pokhrel, a senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and candidate in Kathmandu Constituency No. 5, has stepped up his door-to-door election campaign ahead of the upcoming vote scheduled for Falgun 21 under the Nepali calendar.

Pokhrel has been visiting various neighborhoods across the constituency, meeting residents and outlining his development priorities. During these interactions, he has focused on direct engagement with voters, listening to their concerns, suggestions, and grievances.

Speaking at a program in Tokha on Wednesday, Pokhrel said the UML remains committed to national development. He stated that the party has consistently worked toward infrastructure expansion, governance improvement, and political stability.

“We are committed to moving the country in the right direction,” Pokhrel said during the event. He also urged party workers and supporters to reach out to voters and clearly communicate the party’s policies and agenda.

Describing the upcoming election as taking place under a distinct political context, Pokhrel said the results would play an important role in shaping the country’s direction. He argued that a UML victory nationwide would help ensure stability and continued development.

As part of his campaign in Kathmandu-5, Pokhrel has pledged to transform the constituency into a model electoral area. His stated priorities include strengthening local infrastructure, promoting managed urban development, and creating employment opportunities.
