Three people, including a father and his young son from the same family, were killed in a high-speed motorcycle crash in the Basbiti area of Ramdhuni Municipality–7, Sunsari district. Two others sustained serious injuries.
The collision occurred around 7:30 PM on Saturday along the inner road connecting Chatara to Kanchi Chowk, when two motorcycles collided head-on at high speed.
Motorcycles Collide at High Speed on Inner Road
One motorcycle, registered Province 1–02–056 P 5864, was traveling from Kalabanjar toward Kanchi Chowk, while the other, registered 33 P 9605, was heading in the opposite direction. Both motorcycles reportedly struck each other while moving at high speed.
The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Inarchan Chaudhary of Ramdhuni–6, his 9-year-old son Pranish Chaudhary, and approximately 50-year-old Bindu Yadav of Inaruwa–6. All three were rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan but were pronounced dead on arrival.
Two others were critically injured: 32-year-old Pratiksha Chaudhary, wife of Inarchan Chaudhary, and approximately 36-year-old Ramesh Chaudhary of Inaruwa–7. They are receiving treatment at the same hospital, and their condition is reported as critical.
According to Sunsari District Police, preliminary investigations suggest that both motorcycles were traveling at excessive speed, likely causing the loss of control that led to the fatal accident.
