Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been re-elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2 after securing 54,402 votes in the parliamentary election.
According to the final vote count, Lamichhane defeated his closest rival Meena Kharel of the Nepali Congress, who received 14,935 votes. Asmin Ghimire of the CPN-UML secured 6,995 votes in the constituency.
Lamichhane had also won the previous election held three years ago from the same constituency with 54,100 votes. With the completion of vote counting, Lamichhane has once again been elected as the House of Representatives member from Chitwan-2.
