Kathmandu — Pradeep Paudel, General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has said the party is preparing a development-focused election manifesto with a long-term national vision ahead of the upcoming general election.
Speaking during interactions with voters on Monday, Paudel—who is also a candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No. 5—said the manifesto aims to reflect public expectations and provide a clear roadmap for the country’s future. He said the party has identified ten major priorities to guide its efforts to bring about change.
“The manifesto for the 2082 general election is being prepared with a vision for national development,” Paudel said. “It will address citizens’ aspirations and define the country’s future course. We are moving forward by setting ten key priorities to transform the nation in line with public expectations, and we seek everyone’s support.”
Paudel said the party has undergone internal reforms in response to citizens’ expectations and added that renewed leadership would take responsibility for leading national development. Acknowledging that the Nepali Congress has faced public grievances, he said the party is now focused on addressing those concerns and delivering prosperity in line with people’s expectations.
During his engagement with voters in Kathmandu-5, Paudel emphasized that development, good governance, and improving living standards will be central to the party’s agenda, stressing that broad public support is essential to achieving these goals.
