Balen Shah Widens Lead Over KP Sharma Oli in Jhapa-5 as 52,207 Votes Counted
RSP senior leader Balen Shah is maintaining a strong lead over CPN-UML chairman KP Sharma Oli in Jhapa Constituency-5 as vote counting continues, with 52,207 ballots counted so far.
Jhapa — Vote counting in Jhapa Constituency No. 5 is ongoing, where Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balen Shah has maintained a significant lead over CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
According to the latest update from the Office of the Election Officer, 52,207 votes have been counted so far in the constituency. Among them, RSP candidate Balen Shah has secured 34,863 votes, maintaining a clear lead.
His closest rival, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, has received 9,068 votes. Meanwhile, Nepali Congress candidate Mandhara Chimariya has secured 974 votes. The ongoing vote counting indicates that Balen Shah’s lead in Jhapa-5 continues to widen. Election officials said the vote counting process is still underway.
