Upendra Yadav, Chairperson of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, has urged voters to support his party in the upcoming election, stating that the vote represents a significant moment for rights, dignity and political representation.

In a Facebook post published Tuesday, Yadav said the decision now rests with the electorate and described the election as a defining juncture. He framed the choice before voters as one that would determine the future direction of representation and federalism.

Yadav called on citizens to back what he described as the political force that has consistently struggled to secure rights, self-respect and effective representation. He also urged voters to rise above division and misinformation and to support a party committed to protecting constitutional and political rights.

Referring to the Madhes movement, Yadav stated that it was not only a political protest but also a declaration of identity and self-respect. He said the force that stood for rights and recognition during periods of repression remains the authentic representative of Madhes.

The JSP Nepal leader further said there are attempts to weaken the federal system established following the sacrifices of martyrs. He stated that safeguarding federalism requires political commitment and asserted that his party is prepared to defend inclusion and representative governance.

Yadav concluded by calling for a decisive mandate to strengthen the political voice of Madhes in national affairs and urged voters to exercise their democratic rights responsibly.
