New Vinayi Khola Bridge on Narayangadh–Butwal Highway to Open for Traffic on July 3

The newly built Vinayi Khola bridge in Dumkibas on the Narayangadh–Butwal highway will open for traffic from July 3, improving travel safety and connectivity after the old bridge was damaged by floods and heavy vehicles.

Dumkibas, Nawalpur — The newly constructed bridge over Vinayi Khola in Dumkibas, located on the Narayangadh–Butwal highway section, is set to open for vehicular traffic from 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3 (Asar 19). The road project authority announced that the final phase of construction was completed with the completion of blacktopping on Wednesday.

From now on, regular traffic will operate through this new bridge. Previously, on December 10 (Poush 26), a heavily loaded truck damaged the old bridge, forcing vehicles to use an alternative diversion route. However, this diversion route often deteriorated during floods, causing significant inconvenience to travelers.

Notably, on June 20 (Asar 6), a passenger bus was swept away by floodwaters, highlighting the urgent need for a sturdy bridge. With the completion of the new structure, authorities expect safer and smoother travel for commuters.
