Sunil Sharma Urges Voters to Deliver Strong Mandate in Morang-3 Election

Morang-3 candidate Sunil Sharma has urged voters to give him an overwhelming mandate, arguing that a strong victory would strengthen his parliamentary voice and influence policy-making.

Sunil Sharma, a political leader from Morang and a candidate in Morang Constituency No. 3, has urged voters to give him an overwhelming mandate in the upcoming election. Recalling that voters in the constituency had previously given him the third-highest number of votes, Sharma said he is confident of securing the highest vote count this time.

Call for Strong Parliamentary Voice Amid Political Uncertainty

He stated that winning with the largest number of votes would strengthen his voice in Parliament, adding that such a voice would carry significance not only nationally but also internationally.

Taking an indirect swipe at new political parties, Sharma remarked that the current political environment resembles a kind of “coronavirus,” suggesting widespread confusion and instability. He argued that securing victory with the highest number of votes in such a situation would carry special political meaning.

According to Sharma, a lawmaker elected with around 70,000 votes would be able to raise issues more effectively, making policy formulation more responsive to public needs.

He said, “If the people of this constituency send me to Parliament with more than 70,000 votes, it will matter greatly. In this storm of uncertainty, a lawmaker elected with the highest number of votes in Nepal carries a distinct weight. This, too, is a kind of pandemic — confusion everywhere. If you make me victorious with the highest vote count even in such times, its importance will be unique.”

Sharma added that with such a mandate, he would be able to speak forcefully from the parliamentary rostrum, influence national debate, and work toward changing laws in favor of the people. He said that a stronger voice from Constituency No. 3 would play a meaningful role in shaping national policies.

Concluding his remarks, Sharma emphasized the need to establish Nepal as a country of peace and stability.
