RSP Secures First Victory in Kathmandu as Ranju Darshana Wins Kathmandu-1

Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Ranju Neupane (Darshana) has won the House of Representatives election from Kathmandu-1 with 14,491 votes, marking her first parliamentary victory and giving the RSP its first win in Kathmandu.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured its first victory in Kathmandu in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, as Ranju Neupane (Darshana) won from Kathmandu-1.

According to the final vote count, Ranju Neupane received 14,491 votes, defeating her competitors to secure a seat in the House of Representatives.

This marks Neupane’s first victory in a parliamentary election, making it a significant political milestone for both the candidate and the RSP.

Kathmandu-1 has historically been a competitive constituency. In the 2022 general election, Nepali Congress candidate Prakash Man Singh won the seat by a narrow margin of 125 votes, defeating Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Rabindra Mishra.

Neupane’s victory now signals a shift in voter preference in the capital, as the RSP continues to expand its influence in Nepal’s parliamentary politics.
