Social activist Ramsing Tamang has registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives election from Sindhupalchok Constituency No. 2, representing the Ujyaalo Nepal Party.
Tamang submitted his nomination on Tuesday after arriving at the Office of the Chief Election Officer. Known for his involvement in social initiatives, he is a local resident of Helambu Rural Municipality and has remained active in community-based work.
The party has also named Pratap Lama as its proportional representation candidate from Sindhupalchok Constituency No. 1. The Ujyaalo Nepal Party, led by Kulman Ghising, has registered candidates in 111 constituencies across the country. Party Chair Ghising himself has entered the race from Kathmandu Constituency No. 3.
With Tamang’s candidacy, the political contest in Sindhupalchok–2 has gained added attention, as voters increasingly look toward candidates with grassroots engagement and social activism backgrounds.
