Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav Appointed Acting President as President Ramchandra Paudel Visits Japan

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has been designated Acting President after President Ramchandra Paudel left for an official visit to Japan, the National Assembly has been informed.

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has assumed the role of Acting President following President Ramchandra Paudel’s departure for an official visit to Japan, as informed to the National Assembly.

The National Assembly has been informed that Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has been designated as Acting President following President Ramchandra Paudel’s departure for an official visit to Japan on Sunday.

National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal told the House that Vice President Yadav has assumed the role of Acting President in accordance with constitutional provisions, as President Paudel is currently abroad.

President Paudel is leading a Nepali delegation to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government, marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan.

During the President’s absence, Vice President Yadav will carry out all duties and responsibilities of the Head of State.The acting arrangement will remain in place until President Paudel returns to Nepal.
