Kathmandu — Madhav Kumar Nepal, co-coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party and a former prime minister, has said that the public wants his party to secure victory in the upcoming election.
Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu on Friday, Nepal said a nationwide wave is building in favour of the Nepal Communist Party, asserting that the party is gaining widespread public support.
He said a countrywide campaign, running from Mechi to Mahakali, is underway with the aim of making the party the largest political force in the election. According to Nepal, the momentum reflects the public mood rather than symbolic rhetoric.
Referring to Okhaldhunga, Nepal said the district is expected to play a leading role in driving the campaign. “This is not said without reason,” he said. “Okhaldhunga will resonate across the east and the west. It will send waves through the mountains, hills and the plains, and it will set a record in this election.”
Nepal said the party is moving forward in line with public sentiment and expectations. He also said the party is advancing in accordance with the aspirations of the younger generation, including Gen-Z voters.
