Dr. Pranay Shamsher Rana has rejoined the Nepali Congress, returning to the party after a period of political engagement outside its structure. He was formally welcomed on Thursday at the National Assembly Hall following a question-and-answer program on the party’s pledge paper.

The event concluded with a “homecoming” ceremony recognizing his return. Party President Gagan Thapa welcomed Rana back into the party during the program. Addressing the gathering, Pranay Shamsher Rana said he had stepped away from the party for some time to gain political experience and had now returned.

He stated that his time outside allowed him to engage in political practice and learning. Using a sports analogy, Rana said that just as a football player may join another club on loan to gain experience before returning, he had temporarily left his political home to learn and had now come back.

Rana expressed his commitment to contributing more strongly to the Nepali Congress in the coming days and said he would apply the experience he gained to further strengthen the party.
