Kathmandu — DP Aryal Speaker candidacy has entered a decisive phase, with the Rastriya Swatantra Party leader pledging to uphold the Constitution and deliver fair, people-focused leadership if elected.
Speaking to reporters at Singha Durbar on Friday after filing his nomination for Speaker, Aryal said he is committed to carrying out the responsibilities of the office in a just and lawful manner. He emphasized that any authority he receives will be exercised strictly within the framework of Nepal’s Constitution and existing laws.
Reiterating his vision, Aryal said the DP Aryal Speaker candidacy is guided by the need to strengthen parliamentary integrity. He underlined the importance of maintaining the dignity of Parliament, stating that the legislative body must function independently while respecting the principle of separation of powers.
He noted that a balanced relationship between the executive, judiciary, and legislature is essential for a stable democratic system, and pledged to ensure that Parliament fulfills its constitutional duties without bias.
Highlighting the purpose behind his candidacy, Aryal said his decision to run for Speaker is rooted in serving the interests of the Nepali people and safeguarding national integrity. He stressed that the Speaker’s role should rise above political divisions and focus on fairness, accountability, and institutional strength.
