Shram Sanskriti Party Becomes Second Largest in Koshi Province Proportional Vote, RSP Leads

The Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Harka Sampang, has emerged as the second-largest party in the proportional representation vote in Koshi Province, while the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured the highest number of votes.

KATHMANDU — The Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Harka Sampang, has become the second-largest party in the proportional representation vote in Koshi Province. A total of 2,001,375 valid votes were counted in the province. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) secured the highest number of votes with 853,183.

The Shram Sanskriti Party received 292,049 votes, placing it second. Among other major parties, the Nepali Congress obtained 290,562 votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal–Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) secured 288,186 votes.

The Nepal Communist Party received 97,679 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) secured 62,899 votes. In terms of vote share, the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 42.63 percent of the votes in Koshi Province. The Shram Sanskriti Party secured 14.59 percent, the Nepali Congress received 14.52 percent, and the CPN-UML obtained 14.40 percent.
