RSP candidate Rukesh Ranjit won the Bhaktapur-1 House of Representatives seat with 33,436 votes, defeating NWPP’s Prem Suwal.

Bhaktapur — Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rukesh Ranjit has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Bhaktapur Constituency No. 1. According to the final vote count, Ranjit secured 33,436 votes, defeating his closest rival Prem Suwal of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), who received 28,147 votes.

With this result, the long-standing winning streak of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party in Bhaktapur-1 has come to an end. The party had been winning the constituency continuously since the election 2048 BS. The Office of the Election Officer is preparing to formally announce the final result.
