Parbat — Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sagar Bhusal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Parbat, according to the final vote count in the parliamentary election.
The 44-year-old Bhusal secured 26,561 votes, winning the seat with a clear margin. With this result, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured a parliamentary victory in Parbat district.
Nepali Congress candidate Arjun Prasad Joshi finished second with 15,954 votes. Joshi has previously contested elections from the same constituency several times but has not been able to secure a victory.
Meanwhile, Padam Giri of the CPN-UML placed third after receiving 15,075 votes. Giri had won previous elections from the same constituency. With the completion of vote counting, the Office of the Election Officer is preparing to formally announce the final result for the Parbat constituency.
