Pathao Launches Helicopter Booking Service in Nepal
The company has partnered with Simrik Air to offer helicopter flights to major religious and tourism destinations through the Pathao app.
Pathao Nepal, which started as a ride-sharing platform, has now entered the helicopter booking business with the launch of its new ‘Pathao Heli’ service in partnership with Simrik Air.
Users can now book helicopter flights directly through the Pathao app or via the Pathao Heli website. The company said customers will be able to view destinations, pricing and seat details inside the platform before making a booking.
The service is mainly targeted at religious and tourism destinations across Nepal. Flights will be available for locations including Muktinath, Gosainkunda, Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp.
Each helicopter can accommodate four to five passengers at a time. Pathao says the service is aimed at travellers looking for short tours, pilgrimage visits, family trips and honeymoon travel.
Pathao Nepal Managing Director Yeshu Thakali said the company is gradually bringing multiple digital services onto a single platform. After mobility services, parcel delivery, food delivery and e-commerce, the company has now expanded into helicopter services as well.
The company said the service was launched keeping the government’s ‘Nepal Tourism Year 2085’ campaign in focus.
