Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Rautahat Constituency No. 1 in the parliamentary election. According to the Election Commission, Chaudhary secured 28,946 votes.

His closest rival, Ajay Kumar Gupta of the CPN-UML, received 10,693 votes. Meanwhile, Anil Kumar Jha of the Nepali Congress secured 8,574 votes, while Madhav Kumar Nepal of the NCP received 7,669 votes.
