Pushpa Kamal Dahal Warns Over Communist Movement Threat

Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday warned that both domestic and foreign forces were working systematically to weaken the Nepali Communist Party movement in Nepal, calling on communist parties to unite and reassess their direction.

Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu to mark the 26th memorial day of Nirmal Lama, Dahal said the communist movement was facing coordinated pressure from reactionary elements and stressed that communist leaders must recognize the seriousness of the situation.

He also said that failure to address internal weaknesses and rebuild unity within the movement would amount to a betrayal of working-class people who have long supported communist politics in the country.
