Writer, political analyst, and civic activist Yug Pathak has joined the Communist Party of Nepal (NCP). He was formally welcomed into the party on Saturday at the NCP’s central office in Parisdanda by party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
The welcome program was attended by NCP co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, along with senior party leaders Beduram Bhusal, Pampha Bhusal, and Ranjita Shrestha. Pathak had previously contested the House of Representatives election from Jhapa-5, where he ran against UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
He contested the election using the Butterfly symbol but was defeated.
