Kathmandu — Sudan Gurung conducted unannounced inspections of multiple police offices in the Kathmandu Valley early Saturday, officials said. Gurung first visited the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office in Ramshah Path, traveling in his personal vehicle, where he reviewed traffic management, service delivery, and operational procedures.
He later proceeded to the District Police Office in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, to continue the inspection and assess policing activities. Officials said the visits were not part of any pre-scheduled program and no prior notice had been issued.
The inspections are viewed as part of efforts to directly assess the performance of security agencies and evaluate public service delivery.
