Kathmandu — A court hearing on a writ petition challenging the Attorney General’s Office decision to withdraw a case related to money laundering and organized crime involving Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been deferred until Thursday.

The case was placed under “hearing in progress” on Tuesday but did not reach a conclusion, prompting the court to postpone further proceedings.

Legal arguments from the petitioner’s side have been completed, while submissions from government lawyers and Lamichhane’s legal representatives are yet to be presented, according to court sources.

The hearing began on Monday before a joint bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman. Further proceedings are expected to continue with arguments from the remaining parties.
