Kathmandu — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has portrayed Nepal as a country with exceptional investment potential in South Asia and encouraged Spanish entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal’s growing market.
Speaking at the Nepal–Spain Business Dialogue organized jointly by the Embassy of Nepal in Spain and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister Oli highlighted Nepal’s recent political stability, liberalized market system, and availability of competitive and accessible labor force, making Nepal an attractive investment destination.
Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the Government of Nepal is committed to empowering the private sector, recognizing it as a key driver of economic growth. He stated that the government is continuously working on legal and policy reforms to build an investment-friendly environment.
Welcoming the delegation led by Prime Minister Oli, Nepal’s Ambassador to Spain, Sunil Nepal, expressed confidence that the visit would strengthen bilateral relations. He noted that cooperation between Nepal and Spain in business, tourism, infrastructure, and other sectors has expanded.
Prime Minister Oli’s visit sends a positive message about Nepal’s potential as a foreign investment hub on the international stage. The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home this Friday.
