The Nepali Congress has decided to nominate Krishna Sabuj Baniya as its candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No. 6. The decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Board held earlier today, which endorsed Baniya, the Kathmandu district president of the party.

“I am preparing to file my nomination,” Baniya said. A special general convention of the party was previously held under his chairmanship. The nomination filing process is scheduled for today for the House of Representatives election set to take place on Falgun 21.
