Nepal’s political landscape shifts as the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and the Unity National Campaign officially announce their merger, promising renewed strength and unity in left-wing politics.

Big news just came out of Nepal’s political world. The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and the Communist Party of Nepal Unity National Campaign have officially come together as one. They made this big announcement on Friday at the National Assembly Hall, where leaders from both sides promised to join hands and work toward a fresh political future.

Right after the announcement, Wamdev Gautam, the chairperson of the Unity National Campaign, greeted Madhav Kumar Nepal, the chairperson of the Unified Socialist party, along with senior leader Jhalnath Khanal and General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal. The mood was joyful, with warm smiles and even some hugs. Gautam and Madhav also welcomed the central members of the Unity National Campaign who were there.

Gautam said he was over the moon about this, sharing, “After working for four years, this unity is a huge achievement. I’m really excited.” He added that words couldn’t fully express how happy he felt — you could see it in the heartfelt hugs between the leaders.
