Gururaj Ghimire has urged Nepali Congress leaders and cadres to unite and begin preparations for the 15th General Convention, emphasizing cooperation over internal differences.

Kathmandu — Nepali Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire has urged party leaders and cadres to prioritize unity and begin preparations for the party’s 15th General Convention.

Posting on social media ahead of the Central Working Committee meeting, Ghimire emphasized the need for collective effort to strengthen the party. He called on members to move beyond past disagreements and focus on shared goals.

Ghimire stated that the Nepali Congress is built on a strong ideological foundation, a proud history, and a legacy of sacrifice that continue to guide the party forward. He said all stakeholders must take responsibility to preserve this legacy while further strengthening the organization.

He warned that unnecessary debates and internal conflicts could weaken the party, stressing that cooperation and consensus should now be the top priority. “The time has come to rise above personal differences and work toward a common objective,” he said.

Meanwhile, the party has scheduled a Central Committee meeting at 1:00 p.m. today to review the recent election and discuss future strategy and organizational direction.

The Nepali Congress held a special general convention last Poush, and attention is now shifting toward the upcoming regular convention.
