Bishwaraj Pokharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Okhaldhunga following a closely contested parliamentary election. According to the final vote count, Pokharel, a former Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police, secured 13,953 votes. His nearest rival, Kumar Luintel of the Nepali Congress, received 13,948 votes.
The margin between the two candidates was just five votes, making it one of the closest election results in the constituency. Meanwhile, Ambir Babu Gurung of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) finished third with 11,296 votes.
The election in Okhaldhunga witnessed intense competition, and the final result was decided by a narrow margin, with Pokharel ultimately securing victory by five votes.
