Biraj Bhakta Shrestha Wins Kathmandu-8 Seat with 24,592 Votes

Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been elected from Kathmandu-8 with 24,592 votes, securing a decisive victory in the House of Representatives election.

Kathmandu — Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 8. According to the final vote count, Shrestha secured 24,592 votes, winning the seat by a wide margin.

His closest rival, Suman Sayami, received 3,217 votes. Similarly, Sapana Raj Bhandari of the Nepali Congress secured 2,835 votes. Other candidates in the race included Rajesh Shakya of the CPN-UML, who received 1,909 votes, and Nabin Shahi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), who also secured 1,909 votes.

Meanwhile, Rajan Khadgi, representing Ujyalо Nepal, received 1,033 votes. With this victory, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has now won three constituencies out of the ten electoral areas in Kathmandu.
