Rishi Babu Pariyar Resigns from RPP Over Ideological Differences and Inclusivity Concerns

Kathmandu — Rishi Babu Pariyar, a central leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has resigned from the party, citing ideological differences and concerns over inclusivity.

Pariyar, who served as a member of the party’s Central Executive Committee, Advisory Committee, and Central Committee, announced that he has severed all ties with the RPP, including his general membership.

In a public statement, he said his decision followed growing disagreements over key issues within the party. He stated that while the RPP continues to promote the agenda of monarchy, it has not acted in line with that position in practice. He also accused the party of failing to demonstrate adequate sensitivity toward issues affecting the Dalit community.

Pariyar further raised concerns over proportional representation, saying the party missed an opportunity to ensure inclusive representation despite having the capacity to accommodate marginalized groups within allocated seats.

He also criticized the party for lacking clear political direction and ideological consistency. Pariyar said his resignation is based on principles and differing perspectives rather than personal reasons. His departure has drawn renewed attention to internal challenges within the RPP, particularly regarding inclusivity and ideological clarity.
