U.S., Gulf Nations Condemn Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks Across the Region

The United States and several Gulf nations issued a joint statement condemning Iranian missile and drone attacks across the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and a serious threat to regional stability while reaffirming their right to self-defense and calling for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

The United States and several Gulf nations on Sunday strongly condemned missile and drone attacks carried out by Iran across the region, describing the actions as violations of sovereignty and a serious threat to regional stability.

In a joint statement, the United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates said Iran’s activities had infringed on the sovereignty of multiple countries and undermined regional security.

The statement said targeting non-combatant countries and civilian populations constitutes irresponsible behavior that risks further destabilization. “We stand united in defending our citizens, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the countries said, reaffirming their right to self-defense against such attacks.

GCC Holds Emergency Meeting

Separately, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) convened an emergency meeting to review the damage caused by the Iranian strikes on member states. The GCC includes the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.

In a statement issued after the meeting, the council accused Iran of targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas and described the attacks as violations of international law and the sovereignty of member states.

While condemning the strikes, the GCC emphasized the need for dialogue and diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation. The council also warned that “all necessary measures” would be taken to safeguard regional security.

The coordinated response comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and Gulf countries in recent days. The joint statements are being viewed as significant in shaping the regional security landscape.
