Nepali Congress lawmaker Ranjit Karna has said the Congress Vision 10 aligns closely with the government agenda, signaling readiness for cooperation on governance reforms and anti-corruption efforts.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Karna emphasized that there is significant overlap between the priorities outlined by the Nepali Congress and those currently being pursued by the government. He said both sides share common ground on key issues such as corruption control, institutional strengthening, and administrative reform.
According to him, the party is willing to extend full support to any positive initiatives that serve the national interest. Highlighting the broader direction of Congress Vision 10, Karna said the party is moving forward with a focus on youth self-employment, innovation, and the effective use of skills gained by migrant workers.
He stressed that creating opportunities within the country remains a central goal and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to working alongside the government to achieve that objective.
Constructive Opposition and Constitutional Commitment
At the same time, Karna pointed out ongoing challenges in meeting public expectations, particularly in ensuring quality services in essential sectors like education and healthcare. He said shortcomings in governance, transparency, employment generation, and social justice continue to reflect the current reality.
Addressing these gaps, he argued, requires a clear roadmap backed by both experience and fresh ideas. Karna also underscored the importance of collaboration between political forces, stating that combining experience with innovation could help move the country forward.
He added that the party remains open to constitutional amendments aimed at making the constitution more people-friendly and responsive to evolving needs.
Concluding his remarks, Karna said the Nepali Congress is prepared to act as a constructive opposition while also serving as a responsible partner in national development. He reiterated that the party will support decisions that benefit democracy and the public, while firmly opposing any move that undermines due process or goes against public interest under Congress Vision 10.
