Scotland have elected to bat first against Nepal in a crucial ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 fixture underway at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground started in Kirtipur at 9:30 am. Scottish captain Richie Berrington won the toss and chose to put runs on the board in what could prove to be another tightly contested encounter between the two sides.

Nepal have retained the same playing XI from their previous match, backing the side that delivered an emphatic nine-wicket victory over the United States. The home team will also be carrying the memory of their narrow two-run defeat to Scotland earlier in the series under the DLS method, a result that added further pressure to Nepal’s campaign in the League 2 standings.

Scotland arrive unbeaten in the series

Scotland have looked composed throughout the tri-series and remain unbeaten heading into today’s game. They edged past both Nepal and the United States by the same dramatic two-run margin, underlining how finely balanced the competition has been so far.

The visitors have also handed a debut to Ollie Jones for today’s match, adding fresh energy to a squad that has already shown resilience in pressure moments.
