Prachanda Says Rastriya Swatantra Party Misleads Public Through Social Media Stunts

Former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the Rastriya Swatantra Party of misleading the public through social media stunts, saying the party lacks ideology and calling for unity among leftist forces.

Kathmandu — Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has commented that the Rastriya Swatantra Party is misleading the public by engaging in what he described as social media stunts.

He made the remarks while addressing a unity declaration program held in Kathmandu on Tuesday between the Communist Party of Nepal and the Revolutionary Communist Party, Nepal.

Coordinator Dahal alleged that the party suffers from a lack of ideology and principles, and that during election periods it is incapable of doing anything beyond resorting to social media stunts.

He further stated that ringing bells alone would not bring about meaningful change in the country, and called on all leftist forces to move forward in unity. 555According to Dahal, only when all left-wing forces advance together can the interests of the country and the people be safeguarded.

He also said that revolutionary leader Mohan Baidya Kiran would be welcomed with respect should he choose to join his party.
