Oli, Prachanda Hold Private Meeting in Chyasal Ahead of Delhi Visit

CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ met privately in Chyasal ahead of Prachanda’s visit to New Delhi, discussing political developments and upcoming elections.

CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held a private meeting on Sunday. The discussion took place shortly before Prachanda was scheduled to depart for New Delhi later in the day.

According to Prachanda’s press coordinator Govinda Acharya, the two leaders met alone for around 25 minutes at a residence in Chyasal. “They held a one-on-one meeting in Chyasal for about 25 minutes,” Acharya said. “They discussed the current political situation and ways to shape the electoral environment.”

The meeting had originally been planned for Saturday morning but was postponed after Prachanda returned late from Sankhuwasabha. The talks also included discussions on the National Assembly election and the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

The possibility of contesting the elections together was raised, though no further details were disclosed. No official statement has been issued regarding the outcome of the meeting. Prachanda is scheduled to leave for India’s capital, New Delhi, on Sunday evening.
