Nepali Congress Central Working Committee to Meet Tuesday in Lalitpur
The Nepali Congress is set to convene its Central Working Committee meeting on Tuesday in Lalitpur to discuss the 15th General Convention, review recent elections, and address internal party developments.
Kathmandu — The Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, according to a notice issued by Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal. The meeting will take place at 1:00 PM at the party’s central office, B.P. Smriti Bhawan, located in B.P. Nagar, Lalitpur.
In the notice, party office bearers, central committee members, and provincial presidents have been requested to attend the meeting. Party leaders said discussions will primarily focus on key organizational matters, including the timeline and preparations for the party’s 15th General Convention.
A previous central committee meeting had concluded that the party should now concentrate its efforts on the upcoming convention. The meeting is also expected to review the elections held on Falgun 21 and address internal issues arising from the results.
In particular, the resignation submitted by Gagan Thapa following the election outcome is likely to be discussed again. The central committee had earlier rejected Thapa’s resignation. Leaders said the meeting has been called to clarify the situation following that decision and to determine the party’s future course of action.
