Home Minister Sudan Gurung visited an elderly man at his Lalitpur residence after a viral video showed misconduct by UML supporters, prompting swift police action and widespread public concern.
The incident took place a few days ago when a group of UML supporters were chanting slogans against the arrest of party chairman KP Sharma Oli. During the protest, an elderly passerby was reportedly mistreated. Acting on the directive of Home Minister Sudan Gurung, Lalitpur police detained Ram Sharan Sharma Bajgai, who has been accused of the misconduct. He is currently being held at the District Police Range, Lalitpur, where further investigation is ongoing.

According to officials, the Home Minister stopped by while returning from official duties.
