Film Journalist Dinesh Sitaula Dies While Covering Balen Shah’s Election Campaign

Film journalist Dinesh Sitaula, who was covering the election campaign of Rastriya Swatantra Party prime ministerial candidate Balen Shah, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment, according to Grande Hospital.

Kathmandu — Film journalist Dinesh Sitaula, who was covering the election campaign of Balen Shah, the prime ministerial candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has died. According to Grande Hospital, Sitaula passed away at 12:45 pm on Sunday while undergoing treatment. He was 45. Sitaula was a former president of the Film Journalists Association.

He collapsed suddenly while reporting on Balen Shah’s election campaign in Achham. Following the incident, Sitaula was airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter, but medical efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
