The long-running dispute surrounding Bollywood film Don 3 may finally be heading toward a resolution. As tensions continued to grow between actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, Salman Khan has stepped in to mediate between the two, Indian media reports suggest.

Salman is said to have held separate conversations with both Ranveer and Farhan, urging them not to let personal disagreements and professional differences damage the future of the project. His efforts have reportedly focused on encouraging both sides to resume dialogue and find common ground.

How the Dispute Began

Don 3 was officially announced in 2023 with Ranveer Singh taking over the iconic role previously portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The announcement generated significant attention, but the project soon faced repeated delays.

The film’s production struggled to move forward due to issues related to casting, script development, and scheduling. Speculation surrounding the project continued to grow before Ranveer eventually decided to walk away from the film, bringing the disagreement into the public spotlight.

Farhan Akhtar’s Complaint and Industry Involvement

Farhan Akhtar’s production company, Excel Entertainment, has alleged that Ranveer exited the project only weeks before filming was expected to begin. The production side believes the decision caused substantial financial losses and disrupted planning for the film.

As the dispute intensified, the matter reached industry bodies representing film and television workers. Farhan reportedly filed a formal complaint, following which the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued multiple notices seeking an explanation from Ranveer.

The situation escalated further after claims that satisfactory responses had not been received, leading to discussions about possible action against the actor.
