Kathmandu — Veduram Bhusal, Vice-Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist), spoke with great respect about Pushpalal Shrestha, calling him the father of Nepal’s communist movement. At the 47th Pushpalal Memorial Day in Kirtipur on Wednesday, Bhusal talked about how Pushpalal was the first to bring Marxist ideas into Nepal and change its political path.
He said Pushpalal played a huge role in shaping Nepal’s political history, and no one has matched his efforts to build communist values here. Bhusal also said that Pushpalal’s dreams and ideals still inspire leaders and activists today.
But Bhusal also said that Pushpalal’s work isn’t finished yet. The goal of making Nepal a socialist country is still in progress, and we need to see our history differently—just like Pushpalal wanted.
Honoring Pushpalal’s memory, Bhusal urged everyone who supports the communist movement to stay focused and work hard to make Nepal’s socialist dream come true.
