Kathmandu — Prime Minister Sushila Karki cast her vote on Thursday morning in Nepal’s ongoing House of Representatives election. Karki exercised her voting right at the polling center set up at Dhapasi Secondary School (Nimavi) in Kathmandu Constituency-5 shortly after polling began.
After casting her ballot, the prime minister also urged citizens across the country to participate in the democratic process and use their right to vote. In a message shared on Facebook, Karki called on voters to visit their polling centers and exercise their constitutional right.
“Dear sisters and brothers, today on Falgun 21, I sincerely urge everyone to go to your designated polling centers and exercise your valuable right to vote,” she wrote. Nepal is holding nationwide voting on Thursday to elect members of the House of Representatives, with voters across the country participating in the election process.
